d17de-logobookhooks

Renee Maxwell lands her dream job as assistant to archaeologist Damon Cubins in wondrous Turkey. However, she starts seeing strange things after finding a unique crystal. For one, hot Damon now looks like the sexy demi-god and underwear model of her dreams. Her feminist ideals are challenged with each bit of banter and seductive look he gives her, but she’s not falling for his charm.

Time is of the essence for incubus, Damon Cubins, who must find a one-of-a-kind crystal or turn into a full-fledged demon. He has neither the time nor desire for love, but his new assistant tests his resolve. When he discovers she’s got the crystal he needs to save himself, he must make a decision to either romance it from her or walk away. But can he?

Excerpt:

She huffed and snatched up her towel. Thankfully, it reached just below her butt, leaving her long legs exposed for his admiration.

Then she batted her eyelashes at him. “I would never give you the satisfaction.”

“Of which?” He beamed. “Drowning or bathing?”

“Both.” She inserted the corner of towel between her breasts, locking the rest of it around her, and then grabbed her canteen. “Uh, thank you for saving me.” She shivered, and he doubted it was merely from the dunk in the water. “Please don’t tell the others; it’s embarrassing.”

After his nod, she breathed out a sigh. She looked as if she anticipated that he would haul her back into the water for a lesson.

Her movements reminded him of abused animals. He speculated most people, who couldn’t swim but grew up around water, would try to learn unless they experienced drowning or trauma in the past. Could that have happened to her? There was more to this situation than her usual stubbornness. Vulnerability even.

As she leaned over to finish filling her canteen, her ample bosom peeked out. His lust twisted at the thought of the sounds she would make when he kissed her nipples until they pebbled.

Suddenly, she jerked up, spilling some of the water. “Did you get a good enough view?”

He opened his mouth, but no words came out. Without waiting for his reply, she stormed away. Damon flopped backward, letting his body float. His mind drifted to images of making love to Renee in the river. After he helped her over her phobia, somehow. Hmm, he could kiss her down there while she treaded water.

Nah, she’d never go for it. This is a business trip. No time for sleeping with the staff, no matter how sexy they are when arguing with him.

Andrea R. Cooper writes fantasy, paranormal, historical and romantic suspense.

Her favorite childhood memories revolved around creating vibrant characters for her friends, and then acting out their adventures. Inside her fantasy worlds of darkened forests, dragon-filled glades, and iced islands, nothing was banned. From the ethereal Elvin to the most maligned Vampires, all were welcome in her fictional realities, a stark contrast to her home, where the magical and mythical was forbidden.

Showing some #AuthorLove for a Hot Paranormal #Romance, Alpha Lover, by Brenda Sparks

Author Love to Romance Authors_Graphic.jpg

Alpha Lover Cover med (2016_11_26 02_57_06 UTC).jpgStarved for blood, vampire, Nicholai Peterhof is greatly relieved when two tourists, in Russia for the Christmas holiday, decide to grace his restaurant, but one sip from the pretty brunette and his world is forever turned upside down. Juliette Staint-John is everything he could have asked for in a heartmate; pretty, smart, built with curves in all the right places…and totally unavailable.

Juliette doesn’t want anything to do with the handsome, young-looking Nicholai. As if their differences aren’t enough, the acute grief over the loss of loved ones keeps her heart guarded. He may be her fantasy, but that’s all he can ever be.

To get past Juliette’s defenses and in order to keep her safe, Nicholai must prove himself worthy of her love and trust. Unbeknownst to the couple, her personal demons are not the only ones threatening their relationship. Hiding virtually unseen by the vampires, Demon Royalty plots to destroy not only the couple but the entire vampire breed. Luckily, Nicholai will do anything for Juliette—even if it means sacrificing himself.

Excerpt:

She had only a second to realize Nicholai stood
in the doorway before Desmond’s powerful thighs brought him to the door in a single bound.

He grabbed Nicholai’s shirt with one hand, his other made a fist that landed squarely on Nicholai’s jaw.

Nicholai’s head snapped back. Shock took his face. With a mighty push, Nicholai threw Desmond backward across the room into one of the flowery couches. It moved under his weight, crashed into the end table, and the Tiffany lamp tumbled to the floor.

Julie’s eyes went wide. The two men became a blur of motion, bodies flying apart then back together. She had to concentrate to make out the shapes of hard forms in the powerful whirlwind.

Connor pulled, lunging at the whirling mass. His deep growls and barks added to the chaos as the two males swirled around the living room. They spun around the room like a tornado, moving so fast Juliette’s eyes did not register their kicks and punches. However, she heard bones crunch and the slap of skin while the two exchanged blows.

The furniture that exploded when the blurry mass neared evidenced the fierceness of their battle. Julie watched one piece of furniture after the next burst into pieces. First her delicate coffee table, next the end table where the Tiffany lamp had been, then the rocking chair. When the mass moved toward the antique credenza, Juliette screamed.

Her beautiful roses sprayed about the room. Red petals floated slowly to the floor in surreal contrast.

Author Bio:
Brenda Sparks has always loved all things spooky and enjoys incorporating paranormal elements in her writing. She refuses to allow pesky human constraints to get in the way of telling the story. Luckily the only thing limiting her stories is her imagination. Her characters are strong, courageous, and she adores spending time with them in their imaginary world.

Her idea of a perfect day is one spent in front of a computer with a hot cup of coffee, her fingers flying over the keys to send her characters off on their latest adventure.

ClaimedHere’s my excerpt from Claimed – Book 1 a paranormal romance

She refused to allow him to witness her terror. She could do this. When she took his outstretched hand, desire coursed through her and nearly buckled her legs. Was this her illness? Or had the fever returned? A peace filled her in his presence, and she wasn’t
scared when he tugged her hand.
Glittering water caressed her thighs, then reached her stomach as they waded. When a wave hit her chest, she took her gaze off Damon, realizing how far out she’d come. How had he gotten her to take his hand and block her panic? No one had ever succeeded at getting her into water over her knees without her clawing, kicking, and screaming. Yet when she looked at him, calm drifted into her. What possessed her to trust him and wade out this far? She had to leave. Had to get back to shore.
“Careful.” Concern filled his eyes. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” The sudden thought of Damon nearly kissing her made her anger flare and her words come out sharper than she intended. He wasn’t someone to lose herself with. If he discovered her fear of water, would he tease her about it? Tell everyone?
“The rocks can be slippery here. Let me help you.” He grasped her elbow.
“I’m okay.” She pulled away, but the stone was slick beneath her feet. God, why had she come out this far? Terror clawed at her throat. Her legs shook as her breathing raced.         Water splashed up against a boulder to her left, bringing back the image of her dad’s face and the way his dead eyes stared into hers. On a ride through the rapids, she’d been thrown off. Her father leapt into the churning water after her and helped her scramble
onto a rock. The next time she gazed at her dad, he lay in his casket.
Rather than let Damon discover her phobia, she plunged ahead and tripped on a mass of rocks hidden below the surface. She yelped before water crashed over her head and she sunk to the bottom of the river.

Book Hooks – Fallen – #MFRWHooks

Welcome to Book Hooks

Here’s a snippet from my forthcoming novel, Fallen – Book 2 Claimed series:

fallen-ebook-1

Who does he think he is? Why was she nearly naked? What a dirt bag, standing there gawking. “What are you doing?”
“Addie, I didn’t—”
“My name is Adeline,” she said between clenched teeth. Finding her shirt on the floor she snatched it up and yanked it over her head then snatched up her jeans and boots.
“Listen, it’s not what you think. Let me explain.”
She halted. This had to be good. She narrowed her eyes, and said, “Make it quick.”
If fury didn’t scald her veins, she’d have laughed. Jack’s gaze lingering on her face as if daring to ease some of the rage boiling through her. She had no qualms about checking him out. He wore a pair of navy briefs and had chiseled muscles all over. Not just his upper body like many men who showed off at any chance they got. Not Jack, he was toned all over. Forget that. Remember you were nearly naked.
She detected the faint whiff of heated musk. What happened? Vague images of caressing and kissing. The feeling of ecstasy, as if his touch nearly brought her to orgasm. Why couldn’t she remember?
No way. No one could bring a succubus pleasure unless the bracelet made her human in that regard. Then if he was one of her kindred, he could make her do whatever he wished. Is that what happened? And when he stopped touching her the power waned?
“Let me explain, I—”
“Bastard, you’re an incubus?” Normally, succubae and incubi didn’t mate as each grappled for sensual energy which left neither satisfied. Only exceptions were half-breeds, but she hadn’t met one of those in centuries.
“A what?” For a fleeting second, a look of understanding crossed his features. So he’d at least heard about her people.
