She has seduced men everywhere…but never fallen in love. Until now.
Soon the tables are turned on the succubus, and the succubus finds herself the one at the mercy of desire.
Succubus Adeline lost her powers. The crystal that all her kind crave has attached itself to her and rendered her powerless. Unless she finds a way to remove it, she’ll transform into a human–a fate worse than death.
Jack is running from vamps and weres. They want his hidden doppelgänger talents to locate a stone that enables weres to transform at will, but he just wants to be left alone. Now he has a bounty hunter after him.
In a race against time, vampires, and weres, Adeline and Jack travel from Boston to Greece to New Orleans to stay ahead of the hunters.
When Jack confronts a dangerous voodoo queen alone, Adeline learns that love is sacrifice. But will they both survive the lesson?
“I miss you,” she murmured.
“Do you need some pain medicine?” He brushed a few stray strands from her face, and she leaned into his touch.
“Thank you. For helping me.” Her voice was husky.
What would her lips taste like? His mind screamed for him to get out of bed and dress; instead, he ran a thumb across her lips. When her eyes widened, he replaced his finger with his mouth. He’d wanted to kiss her since he saw her.
She groaned and clasped his shoulders, drawing him closer. She smelled of roses, sea, and an aromatic mix of sandalwood and cinnamon. His tongue met hers, and she outlined his muscles with light touches of her fingers. He fell backward onto the bed, bringing her with him.
Together they lay on the bed, a tangle of legs and arms. He longed to feel her beneath him, to taste her. Still, a nagging voice echoed in his mind: this wasn’t Adeline. When she rubbed up against him, his mind skipped.
“You’re wearing too many clothes,” he mumbled between kissing her and trailing his lips down to her neck and under the collar of her blouse. When he came up to her face, she offered him an approving smile and pushed him back. After she got to her feet, she drew the zippers down on her boots. Reclining on the pillows, he admired the view while she kicked off her footwear and socks. Next, she yanked up her top.
“Slower,” he said. Savor this, enjoy the moment with just him and her. Seductively, she ran a hand across her breasts and caressed her abs.
“Hell yes.” A niggling thought crept through the fog. Why was she being so friendly? True he’d saved her life and helped her get here, but she’d shown him barely a sign of attraction till now.
“Don’t frown, lover.” She leaned over him and nibbled at his bottom lip until he growled and she giggled. Crawling off the bed, she stood and slowly slipped off her denim. Then she tossed her jeans at him. Her trousers spilled over the bed, landing between the nightstand and the bed.
In the light, a pair of handcuffs, half hanging out of her pants’ pocket, glinted. Of course, she had them to apprehend him for her bounty money.
When he looked back at her, a black thong greeted him, and her butt made his mouth water. Every nerve in his body desired her, but something was off. He couldn’t think straight with her coming onto him so hard and fast. Had Beth caused her to be so agreeable?
Before going further, he had to know if this was a spell or not.

Her favorite childhood memories revolved around creating vibrant characters for her friends, and then acting out their adventures. Inside her fantasy worlds of darkened forests, dragon-filled glades, and iced islands, nothing was banned. From the ethereal Elvin to the most maligned Vampires, all were welcome in her fictional realities, a stark contrast to her home, where the magical and mythical was forbidden.
