Movie Review – Underworld: Blood Wars
This movie opens with the vampire covens being wiped out by the Lycans- lead by Marius. He searches for Selene in order to find her daughter and use her blood.
I went into this movie, not expecting a lot because of bad and mixed reviews. However, except for specific pieces, I was pleasantly surprised.
One major issue I had was when Selene was fighting Marius. She just gives up, says’s Michael’s name and slides herself under a patch of ice. WTH? No, have her battling and Marius slam her through the ice. The can’t get out because it’s too thick or better yet, strikes her head and goes unconscious.
The end battle with Marius was too easy as well.
I did like the hidden enemy within the vampire coven – that was cool.
If you like the other Underworld movies, then try this one. Expect some issues, but overall, a good show.
My rating 3.7 out of 5
Andrea R. Cooper writes fantasy, paranormal, historical and romantic suspense.
Her favorite childhood memories revolved around creating vibrant characters for her friends, and then acting out their adventures. Inside her fantasy worlds of darkened forests, dragon-filled glades, and iced islands, nothing was banned. From the ethereal Elvin to the most maligned Vampires, all were welcome in her fictional realities, a stark contrast to her home, where the magical and mythical was forbidden.
